Good to know before you give: how your gift is treated, where it goes, and how you can direct it.
Good to Know
Before You Give
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Friends of Peres Academic Center is a registered U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 42-3158631. Donations from U.S. taxpayers are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and you receive a receipt for every gift.
Giving from outside the United States? Write to us and we will point you to the right channel for your country.
Can I choose exactly where my gift goes?
Yes. Our Designated Funds let you direct your gift to a specific scholarship, program or clinic, from a student's tuition to a month of psychological care. You can also give without designating, and we direct your gift to the area of greatest need.
Can I meet the student I support?
Donors who fund a student receive periodic updates and, where both sides wish it, a personal meeting on campus or online. Many of our donors describe this connection as the most rewarding part of their gift.
How do I give by wire transfer, or include the Center in my will?
Our bank details for wire transfers and direct deposit are on the Ways to Give page, alongside the address for gifts by check. Gifts of stock, donor-advised fund grants and employer matching are covered under Tax-Smart Giving.
For legacy gifts and named endowments, write to us and we will accompany you through the whole process.
Will I receive a report on my gift's impact?
Every donor receives an annual impact report. Major gifts receive dedicated reporting aligned with the fund or program they support. Where every dollar goes is set out on our Transparency page.
