Who Decides Where the Money Goes
Friends of Peres Academic Center is an independent American organization. We are not a collection point that passes gifts along untouched — and that distinction is what makes your contribution deductible in the United States.
Our Board of Directors holds complete discretion and control over every dollar we receive. The board reviews and approves each grant on its own judgment, decides how much goes where and when, requires reporting on how the money was actually used, and can redirect a grant if a program changes or a need shifts.
When you choose a designated fund, you are telling us what matters to you, and we honor that wherever we responsibly can. In legal terms it is a recommendation rather than a binding restriction — which is exactly what U.S. law requires of an organization like ours, and what a donor-advised fund sponsor looks for before approving a grant.
Our First Form 990
Friends of Peres Academic Center was founded in 2026. As a newly established organization, our first Form 990 will be published here once it has been filed with the IRS. Check back soon.
