Tax-Smart Giving
For donors giving through investments, a donor-advised fund, or an employer's matching program. Our EIN is 42-3158631.
Gift of Stock or Securities
Donating appreciated stock is often more tax-efficient than giving cash: you avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation, and you can deduct the full market value.
How it works:
Contact us for our brokerage (DTC) transfer instructions.
Instruct your broker to transfer the shares electronically.
Let us know so we can identify and acknowledge your gift.
Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
If you hold a donor-advised fund with Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, BNY Mellon, or another sponsor, you can recommend a grant to us directly, with no additional tax paperwork needed on your end.
How it works:
Log into your DAF sponsor's portal and search "Friends of Peres Academic Center," or use our EIN 42-3158631. No account? Contact us and we'll help.
A note sponsors ask about: we are an independent U.S. 501(c)(3). Our Board of Directors holds complete discretion and control over the use of all funds we receive, and reviews and approves each grant in furtherance of our charitable purposes. More on how grants are made
Matching Gift Opportunities
Many of Peres Academic Center's active projects are currently eligible for matching gift partnerships. If there's a project close to your heart that you'd like matched, let us know and we'll set it up.
